JD sled rotisserie

Post by Liquifire 4/6 »

I recently acquired an old John Deere snowmobile rotisserie. It is supposed to be totally complete but is disassembled. I think I should be able to figure out how it goes together but it would have been nice if it had come with some instructions. Has anybody heard of JD sled rotisseries? Not sure if I'll use it much and might decide to part with it if I don't. I don't have any pictures handy right at the moment.

Peter, it is featured in some of the earlier service manuals. Follow this link and go to page 60 to see the JDST-24 Stand. Dealer Cost was $161.00. http://vintagesnow.com/John_Deere_files ... xtbook.pdf

My local dealer had one. I pretty sure one of the guys that worked there ended up with it.

Steven, are you within reasonable driving distances of Roblin MB? If so we could possibly work something out. It’s way too big and heavy to ship at a reasonable price. And I’m still not certain if I should let it go.

yes well within driving distance for me only 4.5 hr one way. but decide frist what your plan for it is, dont get rid of it before letting me know though. no rush/pressure. Just always wanted one as I have 18 sleds and at some point I will make one or buy one. So let me know what you come up with and what you would want for it. if you go that the route. but ya post some pics I have asked in the past if any one has more pics but to no avail.

I put it together this morning and it was pretty self explanatory to assemble. Now that I see how it works, it looks like it could come in real handy for a couple projects I will be doing this winter so I am going to hold onto it until next spring. Probably would be willing to part with it then. Here are some pics of it.

Doesn't look terribly difficult to replicate with a few measurements, some steel, and a couple hand crank winches.
