Liquifire Reproduction Throttle Blocks

It seems like a long grind but I'm happy to say that our reproduction Liquifire throttle blocks will be available in three weeks or so. We wanted to make sure that they were good so we conducted a few tests and it's a good thing we did!! Our first prototype would crack if you overstressed the set screw. Now we know that nobody would do that (wink wink, nudge nudge) but we decided to reinforce that area. This morning's test of the Prototype 2 would let me not only tighten to where it would not move on the handlebar but it allowed me to tighten a little farther. That said each package will contain a "Warning" about tightening. I'm going to supply with each block, a new set screw, and screws to hold in the limiter switch and kill switch. A second test I performed was to put the block on a set of handlebars and into the freezer for 24 hours. I took it out, hit it several times with a hammer and nothing happened to it. The price including the extra screws will be $50.00 shipped in the U.S. and $43.00 plus actual shipping to the rest of the world. If you want to place your orders you can begin now. When this initial run is done we will switch to the Fire Series Brake Blocks, then Sportfire Throttle Blocks, then Spitfire Throttle Blocks (Early 78-79 Model Style). After that we well begin to make Dator grips and other models depending on the interest generated. DA

How does this throttle block differ from the brake block? It should be the same...right?

I think the difference would be in the brake light switch vs the rev limiter switch positioning, plus the brake lever does not need play in the pivot pin that the rev limiter has.

Ive interchanged them over the years, never could tell the difference. Don't know why you can't market them for both applications. However, maybe you're onto something with the pivot pin hole...

Eric, I really did toy with the idea but decided that it would be best to recreate the M68613 and the M67995. DA
