E-Bay Spitfire with rubber conversion track
The Sprint has the Polaris direct drive track and drive sprockets that I was talking about . This was the "fix" for replacing the cleated tracks. The only reason it is not more common is the price and the fact the rubber track robbed the sled of power. Numerous companies tried to market it as a kit but it never caught on. I am sure the track and drive is still available from Polaris. Peter

E-Bay Spitfire with rubber conversion track
Hey Peter,
I am going to get a look at this sled when I am at Wanies this week. I am pretty sure the conversion uses the original Deere 2" pitch sprocket, but flipped them on there mounting bolts.
All the Polaris 2" pitch sprockets I've seen had a hex shaft. I will post my findings once I get a better look.
JTD, correct on the Drifter track, wrong pitch and centers, but correct length.
The search continues...

Joe. I did a few of the conversions but I honestly can't remember why we used what. I don't remember if we used the stock shaft with polaris drivers or used a Polaris shaft. I do know that people parked the Spits forever rather than spend the money. Peter
