1974 jd 300 help please

Post by Kent32 »

I’m looking for some help with my sled. I have a 1974 John Deere 300 with the Kohler k295-2ax engine
and the walbro WDB-31 carb. The carb has stoped pulling gas from the tank. I’m assuming that the internal fuel pump/gasket is bad and the carb needs to be rebuilt. However I can not find a rebuild kit anywhere. My question is - Is there a different carb I can replace this one with where I can get rebuild kits more easy and if not, what are my options? Thanks again for your time and experience!

Welcome to the group. You might want to check out www.newbreedparts.com you may find the kit you are looking for there.

Hopefully someone that's more familiar with the walbro carbs will chime in. I've never worked on one of those.

Thanks Nick80lf. I did check the website however there wasn’t one available. It’s a really nice little sled. I can’t wait to get it running. We just picked up a 1980 liqufire. Can’t wait to tear into that one as well.
