82 Spitfire suspension

Post by natedog »

I have an 82 spitfire with bottomed out suspension. Is it my springs or shock. It has like zero travel even when you lift it off the ground. Also can I use springs from another model Deere sled or are they all different? I can’t seem to find any available for the 82 spitfire. Thanks for any help.

Have you torn the suspension apart and freed up all the cross shafts?

It is totally normal to pick a spitfire up and the suspension doesn’t extend and when the suspension is working perfectly it isn’t that good just take the skid out jump on the sprung arm in the front that one almost always works if it is stiff don’t even bother about the back and if the back is stuck spray penetrating oil heat it up and taking a rubber mallet to it usually works
One sled is good for you. But many sleds is even better
