Hello all,
Hope everyone is doing well some &%#) times for sure dealing with the Covid-19 right now stay safe and well.
I am rebuilding a 76 JD 300 and was wondering the gasket set from Newbreed does it come with the o Ring that goes on the 1 bearing and the o ring that goes on the cover?
Also when I took the motor apart I found 2 shims on the PTO side but no shims on the other side, is that normal?
Thanks

Re: Kohler K2952AX shims and o rings
You can ask Matt. I just got a Windrosa gasket and crank seal set for a Spitfire, and it did not come with the o-ring.
I have had some issues in getting the correct size o-ring. I have some on order, should show up any day, let me know if you need one.
On the shims, Service Manual 2100 gives the whole procedure for setting the crank end play, I am guessing that the few people that rebuild Kohlers just put them back to together with whatever shims they had in them.

Re: Kohler K2952AX shims and o rings
Hi Brian,
Sorry new to the whole vintage sled seen who is Matt? is he from NEW BREED if so I already sent him a email asking about the o ring and no return as of yet.
So I would say yes please if I could buy a o ring from you that would be great and BTW you happen to know what bearing is on the end of my crank on the mag side so I can try to order some shims?
1 last one the o ring that goes around the bearing do I just reuse that one?
Thanks Mario

Sorry, I didn't notice you are a recently joined member.
Matt is the owner of this page, and yes he operates New Breed parts.
The new O-rings I have go on the PTO bearing.
PM me your address and I will mail one out.
The mag side bearing is a AM52532 Go here for the specs: https://www.autopartsandstuff.com/skf-s ... clutc.aspx
Just click on the details tab.
Mag side O-ring is M64037 There is one on e-bay right now.
The mag side shim is M64035 subs to M64034
If you are asking about the O-ring that seals the 2 halves of the intake manifold, it was PN M64016 I have not found one. I don't think it is anything strange, but I don't know the size ( length, or the diameter of the circle ).
