Fireplug CDI - Changes?

Post by Ethan6171 »

Hey everyone, I just got yesterday putting a fireplug cdi on my 1977 Liquifire 340. On their website, they say you may have to make changes to the timing and jetting. Without making any changes to the timing or jetting, mine seemed to run really good. I noticed the idle was a lot better than it used to be. Although I didn't drive it anywhere due to no snow. Just to make sure the CDI was the problem with its no spark issue before I put it away for next winter. On to summer things!
To others running this CDI on this site, I'm curious to hear your insight on what you do in terms of the timing and jetting with this cdi on your Cyclones/Liquifires, if anything. Thanks
Matt

I have never heard of anyone having to make changes after switching to Hewtech.

Good. I didn't feel like making any :lol22: The spark plugs looked fairly rich before anyway. Thanks for the insight Matt
