1982 Sportfire Crankshaft
1982 Sportfire Crankshaft
Hi, I am working on my 82 Sportfire engine and found that the center bearings on the crank float. I can move both bearings and center seal side to side approximately 1/8". I have not had a sportfire motor apart but I do know this is not the case on just about every crank I have worked on. Can anyone shed some light on this. The bearings roll fine, but it does concern me that the float on the crank. Thanks for any input.

Re: 1982 Sportfire Crankshaft
Center bearings moving side to side doesn't sound normal to me. The only Sportfire motor I've been into was an 80. Never seen this on any of the liquifire or snowfire motors I've been into.
