2022 Ride with the Champs

Post by 400brian »

We are are about a week out from our departure!

We attended the Midwest Ride-In the end of January, and now we are excited to be heading up to St Germain for a week of hanging out with old and new friends.

The museum has put together a larger than normal Deere display for the 50th anniversary of Deere's entry into the market, and I believe that the tribute sleds that Chuck Moser had at ERX will be on display here as well. The prototype liquid cooled 340/S re-creation is something that has been talked about for years, it is finally a reality.

They are planning on opening up the track in Eagle River on Thursday the 17th, so if you would like to cross that off your bucket list, make plans to participate. I made a few laps around the track in 2019, and it was GREAT!

The Poker Run will be leaving out of the Hall of Fame Friday morning, and the Bogie Bash will departing from the Whitetail Lodge as well. The traditional meet and greet will be going on at the Whitetail Lodge Friday evening.

Saturday will have the Ride with the Champs events starting with Breakfast at the Whitetail Inn, with all the different rides departing from there afterward. We plan to take the Vintage Challenge crew west to Little Bohemia, and expect to have a fun day.

Hope to see you there!

Brian, will the lunch be at the Lodge like 2019, or down the road at the Rustic Roadhouse?? The HOF website lists both venues as lunch stops for the Vintage Challenge.

I just talked to Jamie, and apparently Little Bohemia is short staffed and cannot accommodate us this year. The Rustic Roadhaus is right beside the gas station we fueled at last year.

Thanks, Brian. I may be in the minority, but I see this as a positive. Fish Tails did a better job for lunch than Bohemia did in my opinion. See you next week.

To be fair, Fishtales had ten years to get it figured out. It got better as time went on.

See everyone next week!
