Jon,
It will be nice to finally see some proof that the IFS is out there somewhere. Is it possible to see this video after the HOF? I cannot make it.

I was looking into rebuilding a dator crank today and as we were talking the guy says that he remebers an IFS deere back in the day and remembers the factory guys coming and retrieveing them? Is this possible? I am calling the guy up see if he has some pics of it.

Just FYI, they are discussing the fabled prototype "1985 LF IFS" otherwise nicknamed "Wildfire". Not a production sled. They supposedly according to legend used an IFS similar to the Yamaha SRV and SRX sleds of that era. The ones you are thinking of are the aftermarket/homebuilt IFS sleds that resemble the Polaris setup with trailing arms.

Guys, we are talking about a DEERE FACTORY PROTOTYPE, not a home-made or aftermarket setup.

JRC, as if I'm not excited enough, you just keep teasing. Week and a half away!

Jon,

I am with Matt! We are dieing to see the pic's of the actual IFS protoypes. I have a strong interest in the A-arm unit myself. We have only been talking about the "What-if" 85 Deeres since this page was created back in late 90's...so we might be a little wound up to see the real deal.

Horicon: If you saw these first, you suck, LOL!

:P

This will be the ROAD TRIP of road trips!

Later Liquidator,
