snow/ice
Well it finally snowed here the last couple of days the only problem is there are 3 inches of snow and 2 inches of sleet / ice pellets on top. The crust is about 2 inches thick and even the weight of the sleds wont break through to the snow. Probably a stupid question but will the hyfax slides burn up if I go for a ride or is there enough lube from the ice to keep them cool. I took one sled out last night and it is super fast riding on this stuff but very hard to stop and turn, I didnt look at the slides before I left so I cant tell if they wore at all.

79,
Even with the ice, you should have little or no problem worrying about if the hyfaxes will burn up...On ice, you might have a problem with buildup from the ice on either the wheels or slides, but you shouldnt worry about burn up...Now if you were running it conditions with little or no snow, you might have to be careful!
