Does anybody know where I can buy a new stator for a '76 liquifire 440. I put a used one in last year and it is bad already, so I'd like to get a new one this time.

Watcch ebay but as Rich said, it could be bad out of the box. It happened to another member here. If you don't mind splicing wires, get the later round plug style and splice the retangle connection on. They were more reliable.
