What are the original parts numbers for a 73 X8 KEC440/21 engine. I need the parts numbers for the pistons and the left side head. Does anyone know where to get a gasket kit? I went to Central and they were out, but can get it. I wasnt thinking and I left. Dennis Kirk doesnt have one. Parts Unlimited I think has one but I'm not 100% sure which one it is. Are there any other good parts places?

For the gasket kits try Pats Small Engine..They show a listing and part number for your engine..

http://www.psep.biz/store/john_deere_snowm...kets__seals.htm

They also have a listing for standard sized pistons for you engine at

http://www.psep.biz/store/john_deere_snowm...stons_parts.htm

I've never bought from them so if you do let us know about the service..

Cheers
