76 liquifire rpm
snowwizardjd,
The governed rpm is 7000-7500 for your 340 liquifire. Make sure both spark plugs are firing and the fuel line filters are not clogged. If you have never had the timing ring off, chances are the timing is fine. To check it you need a dial indicator and a timing light. I will post the procedure in the FAQ section. The carb specs:
Main jet-180
jet needle-6DH3-4
Needle jet- 0-8
Pilot jet- 40
Air screw 1 1/2 turns out
Idle speed- 1800-2400 rpm
