track swap???
I have a 76 Cyclone 440. I am in need of a track, and can't find anything.....and I refuse to shell out $400 for a new one. The track is 2.52 pitch, 48 lug, 120.96 x 15 and is cleated. My question is, is there any other track from any other sled that will work? Would a 121" track from a newer sled work, or does the .04 really make a difference? I need to get my sled fixed asap!!!

track swap???
Beatersled,
I covered this in the FAQ section, but I will answer your question. It's not the length of new 121" tracks that make them not fit the older 74-78 Deere sleds with sliders. It's the center distances of the slide rails and drive lugs that make them not fit. Deere used their own center distances.
You can find used tracks in sled junk yards or buy a parts sled. All the 74-78 slider tracks interchange, minus the Dator and 78CC. But, the 2/3's cleated track from 77-78 is a MUCH better choice than the 74-76 15" 'bonded on' cleated track.
I hope this helps.

Sorry for not spotting it in the FAQ section, it was not there last time I was on the site. Thanks for the info.
