The motor is locked up (340). He said I could have it, I needed the temp gauge that was in the engine for my 80 Liquifire. So, the motor is in the back of the truck, still soaking in the oil he put in it to try and get it unlocked.

Otherwise, I really dont have any plans for this motor. I could have brought a chasis home, but I have to many projects going on right now and currently no room here at the house. However, at my Mom-Uncles machine shed about 30 miles north of me in Arlington, Illinois which is empty, I will have plenty of storage.

Yes, I agree Andy. I will talk to this person real soon.

I do not want to let the cat out of the bag yet, this is out of respect for this person and what he has and will only do so when he tells me. He is very, very proud of his collection. Besides that, he contacted me. He is well aware of this forum also. I may have to take a bike ride this coming Monday, 09-03-07 and get some pics, I will have to ask him and see.

Way to go, Paul. I really wish I could get to see that boneyard. I could likely spend days in there. How did he end up with so many Deeres?

He has been collecting them I think he said for 10 years, buying at auctions and such and its because he simply likes them.
