Now that is as good an answer as you're going to get!

If you have to explain, they won't get it anyway.

My neighbors which have been talked about here in the past just up the road just shake their heads at me when they see my out wrenching on these sleds. Now I upped the ante a bit, with the 600 MUTT hanging out the back of my truck, they really dont know what to think and I get a kick out of it. I just wave and give them the bird and drive by.....

;)

As for why a Deere, to me it goes back to child hood memories, 2 uncles with sleds and me dreaming of having one, this was back around 1978 or 79.

I really wish I could find the pictures I drew back then of sleds I craved for. Now I am getting them.

Why because no one else has heard of them and tells you they dont exist. Its fun to one a piece of history. Plus they are a two stroke and are very easy to work on. BOB

I grew up on a Wisconsin dairy farm with John Deere tractors and snowmobiles. We didn't have any Liquifires and I always wanted one. Now I have a 76,77,78, and 80 440 Liquifires plus a bunch of parts sleds. Another big reason is this site and everyone that uses it. Duane

One word-----CHARACTER! The newer sleds don't have it! The newer ones are all the same in my opinion, but nothing runs like a DEERE. Jay
