Hello everyone.
I have been on this site a couple of times and can't tell you how great it is to see alot of these snowmobiles as I owned one growing up. (JDX8). I am from Horicon, Wisconsin, but in 1988 I went into the Marine Corps till 1996. I have lived in Los Angeles since then.
There has been some recent events in my life that has allowed me to move back to Wisconsin. I am so ready to get back to some of the basics that I grew up with. The 4 seasons as Winter is one of my favorites. My Father has worked at John Deere for the last 45 years. He probably assembled most of the machines you guys own today. I just purchased a 1980 Liquidfire in pretty much mint condition from a guy in Minn. You probably know him as Jack. I am also looking forward getting into a snowmobile club, but mostly I want it to be a JD snowmobile club. So if there is any info on that, feel free to send it my way. I hope to see or meet some of you as you show me the ropes around here. Any question, just ask. Thanks!!!

Welcome!!
I understand your feeling of the 4 seasons. I spent some time in Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Riverside, and Costa Mesa. Infact my wife is from out there. Where in LA did you spend your time? 29 Palms? There is a group of us Deere nuts up here Duluth. Where are you at? As far as I know there is no deere club. But hey who knows.

Welcome to our little world! Funny, but I had two brothers in CA. One Navy Seal, (I have no idea how we are related, but Mom tells me we are brothers!), and the other one just moved home. Yup, he went snowmobiling for the first time in 10 years last winter. Did a nice endo I heard too.
I bet its good to be home...

Thanks for the warm welcome!!
By the way, as I didn't post it in my original post, My name is Michael Louden.
As far as my service goes in the Marine Corps, I served as an MP and Prisoner Transport, I spent a year in Desert Storm. I have been to a few other places such as Cuba, Guam, Korea, Japan, Camp Pendleton, and yeah the famous 29 Stumps.
I know that Horicon Joe guy. I should! My sister married his brother Steve. Small world?!
The JDX8, I think it might have been a 74'. My Dad made sure I knew how to work on them as I tried like to hell to break it.
I plan on pulling into Wisconsin at the end of December or Janurary. Last time I snowmobiled was a few years back in Hurly. It was a blast..
Next!
