What is your dream sled??
Thought this might be fun to get some varying opinions as there is no wrong answer. So lets play nice this time!
Personally I would love to have a 79 ski-doo blizzard sno pro. I always loved the clean look of them.

What is your dream sled??
Hey Guys,
Rich, funny quote! We used to say at the SnoCross track, Wisco's not a piston, Yamaha's not a race sled and Non-Traction (no studs or carbides) is NON-racing...
I've also had the good fortune of hauling sleds from NY to MN several times per year, so I've been exposed to many makes from 10K Blizzards and Oval sleds to rusty junk AMF's.
So, if I could own "any" sled out there, a few do come to mind like the 82 Proto-Cat's and early 80's Scorpions that ran the I-500 with IFS. A 72 Chappy IFS sled would be nice (EHC, Christmas is coming, LOL!) But most of all I would like an IFS Deere prototype, any Deere test mule or a new one still in the crate. A 340/s that finished the I-500 would be pretty sweet too. Finding Rodger Jansens 340's would be a nice life-time achievement. If I could only find "one" of my wish lists sleds, I would have to be an IFS Deere though...
OK, back to reality! Later Liquidator!

PS: My favorite accessory find would have to a set of ETD Leathers.

Don-
I saw the pictures of Cyclone #1, it looks like new. I have about 20 project Deere's for restoration and no time. I'm thinking when you complete Cyclone #2, I'll pay you to restore a 340S for me and when I come to pick that up I'll drop off a 295S and then a Dator and so on and so on. So don't make any plans for the next 4-5 years.

What is your dream sled??
Excellent post, Richard. It's just too difficult to narrow it down to only one dream sled that I'd want. Some of the ones that I'd like are :
1) John Deere Liquidator
2) Scorpion Bull Whip
3) 76 Rupp Magnum 440
4) 74 Sno Jet Thunderjet 340
5) Redline Revolt
6) Fast Blade
7) Manta
76 Skiroule Sprint
9) Ski Doo RV 250
10) 76 Merc Sno Twister 440
Really, I'd settle for any of these, especially if it came with a big box full of spare parts so I could do more with it than just look at it. Looking forward to seeing what's on everyone else's wish list.

What is your dream sled??
Who among us cannot look at a line up of vintage sleds and not project ourselves back in time (other than the youngsters on the forum) and place to when our dream sleds were kings of the snow?
Every time I open Internet Explorer and my home page (jdsleds.com) opens and shows off Don's 440 cyclone I sigh... and dream about being 14 again and having nothing to do on a winter's weekend other than burn gallons of 50:1 mix in the old '73 400 wishing it were that 440 Cyclone!
My dream sled materializes each time a blue haze forms when the sled that has endured the ravages of time come to life and happily zips off to do what someone generations ago in Horicon, Roseau, Thief River Falls, Shakopee or Timbuktu envisioned.
