heres the one i just sold this summer. i sold it for a whopping $1100

although it was a 81 SRX with 82 decals, a 540 V-MAX engine and V-MAX 4 aluminum skis...

The 82 srx never got released..Just a handful slipped out or never got taken back...I believe they had crank bearing problems and were recalled.... Otherwise I would have had one... Back in the day,I owned 76-77-78gpx-79-80-81-83 v-max-97sx and 01mod 700 srx....Ahhhhhh Good old days... Frankie

the 81 srx was a hand gernade ready to go off, it had finiky carbs, wild porting, weak cranks and bad clutches. actually in the right hands (like mine) not much could touch the 81 SRX. the 82's were even worse and yamaha decided to pull the plug and not release any to the public, although a few got out. in 83 the engine went through some changes and was bored to 540cc had less agressive porting, roundslide powerjet carbs and the crank was beefed up somewhat and had an extra bearing. it was renamed the V-MAX
