Bolts on 102 C Clutch Cover Plate
Thank you everyone. I too called Comet today and received the same info (12 ft-lbs). They stated the bolt length as 1.75". I think someone else mentioned the Liquifire is 1.25" and that it is different than other sleds w/ the 102C. Also do you recommend using an easy out bit or drilling and cleaning thread w/ a tap to remove broken bolt. I have heard the easy out bits are very brittle and if they break you can forget about removing the broken bolt

It's not going to be easy (unless your a very lucky person) to drill out the bolt (it also depends on where it broke off) because of how small it is & that you will have to hit dead center. I would invest in a couple of real good High quality left hand bits, start small then go larger, go real slow so you don't brake off the bit & probably use a drill press or a Bridgeport would even be better if you have access to one. Good luck
Quit frankly I've never had any luck drilling the broken bolts out, BUT I also don't have any patience for this kind of stuff after I screw it up..

Agreed, it is going to be difficult to keep the bit from wandering off center and into the much softer aluminum, especially with a 1/4" bolt.
I have a set of LH drill bits for these situations, but they typically don't bite and screw the bolt out until it grabs, just before you break through the other side.

I am extremely happy to say I was able get the broken bolt out without any signficant issue. I drilled a pilot using a drill press and used the easy out bit with a t-handle. I took my time and made sure I was as close to dead center as possible (laser crosshairs could not be used because the bolt was not flush to the hole.

Congratulations Justin, on successfully removing the broken bolt. Those things can be miserable to get out and I'm glad you were able to yank it out with an EZ-out. Personally, I've always figured they named those devises wrongly. They should have called them something like POSSIBLYifYOU'REreally LUCKY-out
