water in the gas tank

i was riding my 76 340 liquifire around the farm and i parked it behind my house. the plastic dome on the gas cap is gone. so when it started to sleet that night, it all ran in my gas tank.

. i tried to take the bolts off that hold down the seat, but they just spin. the only thing that i can come up with is to flush the tank but i dont think that it will get all the water out. have any other suggestions

p.s. dont trust the weather man. when he says that their is going to be a clear sky, bet on two inches of sleet..

Aaron,
If you can elevate the sled, you could drain the tank with a long hose snaked up thru the exhuast pipe hole, into a container, hooked up to the fuel tank outlet. Then put a fresh gas mixture in it and it should absorb any water left along with a bottle of dry-gas.
You could also remove most of the old gas with keroseen type hand pump.
If you want to remove the seat, try sliding a hacksaw blade under the seat and cut the bolts off. Be careful not to cut the seat. The tank is held in place with 2 brackets which are pop revited to the tunnel.
