sportfire light troubles

alright i can ride my 82 sportfire for about an hour and then the lights go out i stop unplug connections replug them wiggle wires and then it works again any ideas

Sounds like a loose connection to me. I'd clean all the connections and make sure connections are all tight. Then use a zip tie to hold conectors together.

Just my 2 cents.. I wen thtru about4 light bulbs in my SPrintfire (buying and changing the voltage regualtor each time) only to find (upon closer inspection) that one of the connections was bad. It came apart easily and there was a bunch of white fluffy stuff inside (insect or spiders nest). After cleaning and reassebling all my lights have been working great. I suspect is may be something similiar.
