Liquifire Fuel Pump

Any of you out there rebuilt the Liqufire (1980) fuel pump? Tech manual states that it is non serviceable but I have seen rebuild kits on Ebay for the Liquifire. Other than the crankcase filling with fuel are there other symptoms you have experienced that was the result of a malfunctioning fuel pump?

Is there any way to verify the pump is original equipment? Is the pump interchangeable w/ pumps currently offered from Mikuni?

I believe the later model sleds used a fuel pump that had a check valve built in.
This prevented engine flooding while it was not running.

I believe MN Vintage Snowmobile has the kits.

Aftermarket pumps work just fine. I have a Mikuni aftermarket on my sled.
