Does anyone know if Deere tested or researched using a rotary, Wankel type engine in a Deere snowmobile? I do know we had a joint venture with CCW rotary engines back in the 70's or 80's. I think we even used some of them in military vehicles before Deere sold out of the rotary business. Also, does anyone have Wankel engine to sell?

Thanks for the update on the rotary engine question. I know there is a move in the industry today to go to 4 cycle engines in new sleds and often wondered if a rotary would ever be an option. Years ago I knew a guy that tried to put a Wankel from an Artic Cat into a Deere 500. I don't think he ever made it work. NYDEERE
