i put the pics of the dator with the liquifire motor on my site. i rode it about 50 mi today ive got it leaned down so its not smoking like when brian was riding it. it has a cleated track on it and at 40 mph when i gas it it just spins and spins till i let off of it after 100 yards. still not broke in yet so its still a little on the rich side. no lights yet but ive got a drag race to get the other 2 dators ready for so ill park this one for now. VERY fun to ride!
Thanks,
Ted

Nice haul Jag! I'm about an hour north of Columbus & yours is one of the few Liquidators I've seen in Ohio (not counting the recent immigrants). Do you know any of it's history?

Boaski, it turns out the guy I got the dator off of got the sled off of a a guy my dad knows. His family had a deere dealer a long time ago. I haven't had a chance to get any background info off of my dad's friend. The fellow I bought it from had some info about what happened to the dator's engine. The original owner(my dad's friend) was riding up on Indian Lake and the sled got hot and blew up. The original owner took the motor out and took it to an engine shop where it was repaired. Either the original owner didn't have the funds or he just didn't care because the motor was never picked up. I don't know when the fellow I bought the dator from ended up with it, but at the time he could have gotten the motor out of hock for $750.00! But he didn't! So I really need to talk to my dad's friend and get the name of the engine shop! It's a long shot, but worth a try. Just to give you an idea of gaps in time, the last Ohio registration sticker on the sled was for 1983.
