Spitfire carb

Post by Spitfire79 »

I picked up a 9 Spit and need a float needle for the butterfly Mikuni. Anyone have a part # or measurements? If I cant find on, then any ideas on a slide valve thjat works?
I was thinking a VM30. What about jetting? Start at 250 and work from there?

Thanks

I was looking at the parts list online and it doesnt show the float needle ( inlet needle vavle) for the butterfly Mikuni. Does anyone have a part number, measurement, or suggstion as to what to use?
The carb seems fine after a thorough cleaning but I ned a float needle.

How about a spare carb?

Well they are both 340 cc but there could be a minor jetting change.
What is the price on Greg's carb?

I realize the jetting change. I need to order some other parts from him and was curious. I've got a 32mm that I'll try. I figure to start with a 230 main jet and work from there.
I believe he's asking $49.99

$50 for a new carb is a bargain and then some.
