1980 Liquifire SOLD on eBay

Post by WYBowman »

Prices have definately gone up. I bought my first vintage sled about a year ago and have been looking for more off and on throughout the year. Makes me happy I picked up the few I did. And makes me feel the need to go pick up some others that have been kindly donated before the owners realize they could charge me

1980 Liquifire SOLD on eBay

Post by ChickenRat »

There are still some deals to be had but as time goes on it's going to get tougher.

There was a guy at Waconia today who is NOT a member of this site who was buying up every John Deere in site he could find today. He bought an '80 Liquifire, '81 Liquifire, '83 Liquifire, '84 Sportfire, '84 Trailfire LX, '81 Spitfire, '81 Trailfire, and an '80 Trailfire and a whole sh*tload of parts. He came with an eight place trailer and wanted to leave with it full, and he did...... He wanted my '78 CC Liquifire BAD. Said he already has three of them. He literally had a printout in his hands of all years and serial numbers of the sleds so he knew what he was buying and what were important/rare models.

He said he has over 200 John Deere sleds in his barn and wants more...........

Rich,

This guy was from central Wisconsin somewhere. He was going to bring them home today. He said he'll be back again tomorrow for another round.

1980 Liquifire SOLD on eBay

Looks like the high bidder on this sled has been buying stuff left and right. Also a '78 Liquifire, Liquidator, some of Mark's NOS 'dator parts, jackets, etc.

Keep in mind the values always go up in the middle of winter. People get the bug when the snow is flying.

There is a '74 300 that is bringing decent money on E-bay right now.
Auction # 280194506765.

It is a nice looking machine with a backrest and electric start. Also has a JDX cover that comes with it. Hard to find in that condition.

If you guys remember there was a '73 600 that brought some big money here awhile back to. I hope they do raise in value. My problem is that I have a hard time getting rid of any of them.

Personnaly, I don't care for the fact he is hording up everything. I don't have a big collection but I would like a chance at a few different sleds yet. I guess what I'm trying to say is he lives pretty close to Robb and I. 200 JD sleds in a barn and he isn't even on this site. We didn't get to Waconia real early but I noticed JD stuff was pretty scarce. You don't have to agree with me, how would you like this in your back yard? This is probably why with all of the sleds for sale around here that JD's are few and far between. Duane

Don, Looking forward to seeing you at Joe's. Should be a great time. Spent last weekend at Waconia and had a great time. What label of beer are we drinking? Anyone on here get that gorgeous 80 Liquifire on e-bay? What did it go for? Duane
