;) Everybody figures they won't get caught, till someone does. It isn't the DNR's fault, they are just doing there job. That money will help fund the trial systems!!

Sorry Paul for the misspell!!! Here in Wisconsin, if it weren't for the DNR & many local clubs there would be no trails (trials) for anyone to come ride on. Here, that money will help fund the marking & grooming of our trail system.

The inexpensive cost of a registration is money well spent in the support of snowmobiling. I have my sleds registered in ILLINOIS ( where I live) but I also have trail permits for wisconsin and michigan on them. The trails in WI and the UP of MICH. are so nice that the cost of the trail permits (to maintain those trails) is money well spent. I know we don't have many trails here in IL. but I have visited some of the one's we do have and they are also quite nice($18.00 for 3 years is a deal). JIM

You guys suck. We NYer's are shelling out $45.00 per sled if we are in a club, $90.00 each if not.

Yea, the Watersboy and I got busted ONCE in a state park w/o reggies. But that was back in 96. We have since learned to register and insure our sleds. It's hard to feel sorry for somebody getting busted for something so simple, even when it was me.

Hey Paul,

Typically I try to keep around 2 late model Cat and 2 or more Deere's registered and insured. I may try for more next year, but that might actually involve getting snow past Christmas...

The big sale will happen right after I expire. Cari knows this site, and to call Tim, Nick and the Watersboy first. They were kind enough to arrange that last year when fighting over who will end up with my Dators and 340/s'. At least they could wait until after I am gone!

Friends like that, who needs a funeral director and a will?!

The local fish cops had a real big weekend down on Lake Wisconsin ( where the tourists from IL hang out ) Registrations, booze, moving violations, anything they could think of. They were still talking about it at the DNR office on Thursday when I went in and registered the 340S. Made the local paper today.

However, I waited long enough that the sticker won't get here in time, so I get to run without the ugly thing stuck on the hood.

Hell, I would happily pay $100 for a sticker if it meant ridding on groomed trails. Ya`ll don`t know how lucky you are. 95% of the trails in Marshall county Illinois, all lead right to my shop, when of coarse we have snow! Whats this ninja all about anyway? :ph43r:

Up here it cost $180.00 before Dec.31, and $230.00 after. That's per sled, per year.
