77 300 not running right

after i put the tilliston carberator on my 300 it ran good. then it sat for about a week and now it idles way to high to clutch engadment. and it wont open up just bogs. so im getting to much gas at low speed and not enough at highspeed. whats wrong here?

The tillitsons have a gross jet check valve this is a glass ball in a brass housing it lets fuel flow into the carb throat at wot. If you open the choke plate you will see a raised section in the carbs throat and the little brass thing sticking up in the center. Start the sled and let it idle and see if theres gas coming out of this at idle these have a tendency to stick when they get old. If this is the case try and spray it with carb cleaner followed by some lubricant to free it up. Hopefully it get unstuck these are a hassle to change. Let me know how things work out.
