Powerjet carb

Looking for parts for powerjet carbs mainly the O-ring that seals down in the bowl checked DK and PU but nothing. Thanks Shannon

They are a Mikuni part, I bought some at the local motorcycle/snowmobile shop. They come in a pack of 10 for $2.50 as I recall.

You can buy them at a Polaris dealer. Ask for part # 3130015. They're kinda expensive from Polaris, so give Jerry's advise a shot first.......but most bike/sled shops will say "duh" if you just try to ask for a part by description. Polaris used these o-rings on lots of the older sleds that had the Mikuni carb with the main jet mounted within a banjo fitting in the bottom of the float bowl.

Go to a auto parts place or hardware store and get one for a dime.

May local hardware store has 315 different size O-ring's in stock.

dont buy generic o rings from a jobber if you want the repair to last. not all o rings are created equal. there are different rubber formulations for oil, gas, antifreeze, atf, dextron II, hydraulic, etc, etc. many a guy has had to split a tractor in half to replace a $10 o-ring because he thought he could outsmart the system and use a $2 one instead.
the mikuni powerjet o-rings are special, and yes expensive.
also if you are running premix in your tank for break in, then you are effectively changing the formulation from its original design parameters which may affect the o-rings as well.

Yes.. qwerty is right.That o-ring is a special one..I have the o-ring kits here both sae and metric and none of these will work correctly..Best to spend the extra $$

Thanks Guys I went to honda dealer they didnt have them he got out his Part Unlimited snowmobile cat and nothing in it. Ill try the old Polaris dealer which also was the Deere dealer here to see what they might have. Closest active dealer for sleds is 50 miles away so Ill go if I have too. Shannon

I was at a polaris dealer last night that said he could not get any of those orings this year.

Drats, I should have guessed that Polaris would have discontinued the part # since they haven't used those style Mikunis since the mid nineties on the Indy Lites. Maybe try dealers that have sold Polaris for a long time. I believe package quantity was 10 or 20, so a dealer that had to order some way back when would likely still have some left. Just don't mention to him that it is NLA, or he might be apt to adjust the price upward.

Any synthetic or BUNA ring works just fine with gas/oil.
Nothing special about it other than the size.
If you have a kit with only 24 sizes it may not be in there.

Yea, the place I got the Mikuni brand o-rings was a Polaris dealer that has been around for a long time, and they knew exactly what what I was talking about. Maybe you will have to do some calling around.
