I guess shelby and I have about the same thoughts and all the replies except one are for it. Nobody would be forced to do this for sure and you could leave the option of NOT showing personal info up to the individual. As stated, they should
be shown according to model year.
I think this would make a popular addition to this site .........

Never said i was against it but just suggested to use caution if useing personal information on the internet. Ive ben burned before . If this can be done without the personal part than it may be very interesting. Good luck with this idea

I wouldn't mind submitting my serial #'s, it would be great to know where and hom many sleds there are, i know of a lot around here. also i guess for personal info my town is in the profile and my name is in the signature so i really wouldn't mind to much. it would be a cool addition; you got my vote for it.

I think this is a sweet idea. It would be neat to see all of the different sleds and serial numbers. It would also be interesting to see if there are any sleds out there with consecutive serial numbers. I hope this idea is a great success.

.....Hey Joe.....you wanted to know what I have for machines...
1982 Liquifire(nice clean unit)
1980 Sportfire.....still riding it(want to do a restoration)actually I thinked you used some of my Sport photos on your site.
1980 Trailfire(just acquired it)(currently rebuilding the engine)the bottom end is done, need to get it back from Edmonton, and put it together.
1980 Sportfire....part sled.
1981 Trailfire....parts sled.
And a 85 and 86 Indy 600, but they don't count on a J.D. web site. The 85 Indy and 80 Trail are not mine directly, but they are part of the family......S

......In the snowmobile collection, we had three 1976 Rupp Nitros....two 440s and a 340..with all the factory bells and whistles......dual pipes....dual 38 Mukunis with adjustable float bowls, the 340 had 36 mm carbs with adjutable bowls, original Xenoah engines, cosmetically, they were excellent, and we sold them all, and now they are quite cherished and sought after by collectors, I could probably still track down the 340......I wanted to put them away, and dad was.....Nah!!!!get rid of them, they will never be worth anything anyway.......foolish foolish foolish!!!!!!!S

Geez, kinda familiar story. I had a pair of sequential serial number 1980 LF's that I parted with on ebay last year....one went to Ohio, the other to IL. Stupid!!!! Anyways, I feel that the actual numbers existing will remain elusive as most sleds don't get registered (my current ride has a 1987 tag) and our sight membership is very limited, and would therefore produce limited results. I do feel it would be neat to have a photo page though with members sleds kind of like kawisakitrax.com (can I say that?) does on their site. Anyways, pray for snow Y'all, were dieing down here in the southern part of the snow belt!!!

While perusing my treasures this weekend I was looking at the dealer stickers on some of my sleds and thought it would be neat to know, which dealer and what city and state your sled was purchased from, along with serial number and build date.
