race cans do sound cool but I couldn't drive one all day. My brother's mach Z triple has one and it is just plain annoying driving beside him let alone on the darn thing.

I saw the brochure for the 09 Polaris lineup today. A few ok things. They finally put the 550 fan in the IQ (I'm Queer) chassis and now they have a 800 Dragon or whatever the heck it is suppose to be. Same ugly looks and god awful seats. I hate to sound negative but there was nothing that inspired me. I saw the 09 Arctic Cat brochure last week and they did not look too bad. However just too darn expensive. Duane PS, JRC, please make Polaris change before it's too late.

As some of the motorcycle manufactures have done they would pruduce a throwback bike. It was really cool. It looked just like the old bikes. I think each sled manu should bring back at least one throwback sled and see how it sells. I personally think it would be a success if they didi this. Id like to see Cat bring back a Eltigree 6000 say 81. Ski doo"s Blizzard 9700. Polaris first yrs of the indy. Anyone have suggestions? This could be a good topic. I would however LOVE to see someone pruduce a whole deere sled 80+ question is "who"? someone has to have the blueprints and old tooling to do it. Im curious to know who has this stuff.
As far as the new sleds go..they do not appeal to me whats so ever. I rode someones new Cat f1000, it was fast and handles great bit it wasnt that comfortable. It was like you had to stand up to ride it because there was absolutly no leg room to sit down. I dont wanna seem negative here but the new sleds are just gonna get uglier and more expensive. I dont wanna see any of the big4 go under but i do think it will be Polaris.

When Jon is CEO of Polaris, I fully expect an updated IFS LiquiFire.

Polaris Has changed their sleds---Maybe some don't like the looks of the new sleds--I don't like some also but 1 ride on a Polaris IQ chasis sled and I think you will be sold. I have 2 and also a new REV XP and they are absolutely great trail sleds. When we ride( not the Vintage mess around thing) we typically run 200-225 miles a day( If the trails are right) and at the end of the day your back still feels great. Just got back from the UP of MI where we ran 556 miles in 2 1/2 days. Trails are fantastic right now and the traffic on the trails is 1/2 of what it was 3 weeks ago. I'm at 2100 miles for the year and heading back next weekend for what will probably be the last ride of the season. I am spring checking a new Polaris 700 Dragon with the 136 inch track. The long track sleds do ride better but I do agree that a 155 or 163 in. track is just to long to trail ride with. Good luck to all still riding and be safe---we don't want any more Fast riders up here in the UP. We are here to enjoy the sport NOT SPOIL IT!!!!!!!!

I rode my 99 XC600 380+miles in one day a couple of years ago in the UP MICH. Honestly, I had no problems with discomfort riding my "old school" Polaris. I wasn't sore or beat up with such nice trails. I have ridden almost 1600 miles this winter. Seriously, my extra 10 suspension was more than adequate for all of about 20 miles. I have loved snowmobiling for 30 years now and for the first time in my life I do not see a snowmobile I am interested in. I am "comfortable" with what I ride so I quess price and looks of the new sleds do make me feel "uncomfortable". Duane
