im new to this and all... but i just took apart my KEC-400/22 and the pistons look fine, cylinders too... dont need them & always looking for more room in the garage... ii'm in search of 440 pistons and cylinders to turn my 400 into a 440... I have no idea about the 400/4 & 5.... maybe different... if it is something you can use... shoot me a PM and i can take some photos for you... as i will forget to check back on this post.... have a good one guys, Kelly

JDX-8, this this topic we're talking about piston-port motors, you have a reed valve motor. You can swap with 440/22 pistons and cylinders, but if it were me, I wouldn't bother. You won't gain that much power.

Matt, I believe what Kelly is doing is putting a 440 top end on a 400 base.

He is also upgrading to dual carbs and a tuned pipe.

:D Yea, im still trying to figure out the whole Reed & Piston Port numbering differences!...... I know that the /21 and /22 are Reeds.... but was not for sure about all the rest of them!... Good luck and happy hunting... hope it works out for you!, Kelly
