Rich mentioned before that JD switched between mono and multi leaf springs several times. My question is was there and noticeable differences between the multi leafs and the '78 mono leafs. I have going over my Liquifires this summer and wonder if there would be any advantages to switching my multi leafs for a set of '78 mono leafs I got in a package deal on the weekend? Any thoughts?

I was think of changing them on my '76 440 LF. It currently has a set of multi leafs on it, I was just wondering if there would be a performance benefit to the change. I didn't mind the ride this year on smooth surfaces but once I got into rough hard drifts it was rough as hell. At high speeds even small drifts would send my front end up and it is a hard landing on this old beast. I know this must be written some where else but I am starting to get some slope in the front end, I'm guessing this is in the spindles. Can these be rebuilt or do they have to be replaced?

Another thing you can do is increase tension on the front of the slide rail springs.
This will take some weight off of the skis.
But you may not like the setup for deep snow. Easily changed however.
