The auction is not over with yet Hudziak and I plan on breaking out my reserve first communion money!
Besides you started it ........ <_<
As far as the sign goes ......... I had planned on posting something on this in the future and still might. I have one and was wondering how many more might be out there? I bid on one last year and let it go for $1200 I think. I also knew of another
in my area that was damaged by fire. I also know of one in Colorado that is new.
So that is 4 I am a little familiar with. Anyone else know of one?(the large ones)

Hey Guys,
Hmm, maybe I should brake into my racing fund and bid on that 84 Liquifire. No hard feelings, right guys...LOL!
I do hope everyone else knows we are just having a little fun at Hudziaks' (GreenwantobeRacer) expense. He and Horicon Joe are pretty decient guys to deal with. Of course that might not be enough to stop me from getting Hudziak loaded and then making sled deals with him...
As for Deere Sled signs, there are at least two in NY. I could have bought one about 5 years ago for $360.00 but thought that was too much at the time. As much as I would like a sign, hell would freeze over before I paid $1,500 for one. It's kind of like Liquidators, you can't touch one for under $2,500, but I don't have that in all 3 of mine. If I can't find a sign for several hundered bucks, I will just have to live without one I guess. You can only charge what the market will bear. Good luck finding them reasonably priced guys.
Hey Hudziak, drop me a line at home if you win the auction with how much for your other 84 LF. I really have no plans on bidding one the Evil-Bay one, but it fun to mess with you guys anyway.
See you in the spring,

We were always told that the JD dealer's signs were Deere's secret source of REAL money, as the dealers paid "rent" on them every month but never owned them!
The "break and pic" policy is indeed true. Some years ago all dealer's sign panels were changed out as it had been found that the older panels would break into razor sharp pieces that might hurt someone if they were to get damaged. All panels were replaced. Yes, they old ones had to be certified as destroyed and a picture sent in. Our fellow was at least creative. He artfully yielded his hammer and broke it carefully leaving me the logo to do with as I wished to. I then installed it on a painted piece of plywood and hung it on the shop wall. And then it fell off onto the floor and shattered. Very sharp. Oh well
Nothing was ever said to any of the dealers I know about the sled signs, I don't think Deere worried too much about them as several dealers still had theirs years later.
