dator with 77 440 liquifire motor

When the NOS Dator pistons weren't as lucrative as they once were my dad took the Dator motor out of my old Dator & replaced it with a 440 liquifire motor we had laying around, he installed the Dator lite suspension with the 78 CC Yokohama track, installed the 78 front tunnel cooler ( If I were doing it now I would use the 80-84 Liquifire frt tunnel cooler as they don't have fins to get plugged with dirt thus keeping th sled cooler)
he used a 78 radiator, but I would use the Std Dator one, with the Dator pipes, He didn't use the Dator pipes BUT I have been told that Dator pipes make the 440 cc reed valve Kioritz motors come alive. I believe he used the 78 CC Liquifire motor base plate & I know he used the 78 Liquifire air box, not sure if he used the Dator carbs or the Liquifire carbs?? He rode that thing many mile that way, I think there is almost 9000 miles on that sled now..
If your going to do this DON'T cut the front brace off the front subassembly we didn't, but I have seen alot of Dators with Liquifire motors with the front brace cut off...

Just my $.0675 worth

Ryan did you get a Dator? Post some pics for us to look at if you did. I hope you and your family are doing well with the little one? Getting any sleep?
