340 Exicter needed

I need to find a 340 exciter in MI. got to build a new race sled for my son the 250 is not big enough.I need and exciter the whole sled or just the motor and pipe if anybody see anything let me know please. thank you Steve

well the 340 exciter was only made in 77 and 78. And are actully a very rare and disirable sled. but for a 340 they went fast!the 340 ex was my very first sled when i was about 6 and i loved it. now my buddy found one in a barn and it runs water just as good as the 800 triples! I myself did not beleve that untill he did it infront of me. good luck on finding one of those and if you find one in ontario let me no because i wouldnt mind getting another one myself.

Just a little clarification on the EX340..They were also made in 76..That was the first yr..The model code was 8A6..It was the same as the canadian version 76 stx 340.. I have a 76 ex 340..

Yes, the Exciter is a rocket! I had a 77 many years ago.

Thank you river rat my memory is getting shot already. 76 was the first year for the ex and srx 340 and 440s. awsome sleds!

I would like to find the pipe for one because it goes around the right side of the motor, I think the 340 EX motor is the same as the 340enticer but there pipe goes on the left side. All I need is the motor because I'm using and SRX frame

An enticer motor will not preform anything close to the exciter motor. and they did not have a pipe. just normal muffler and it was on the oposite side of the enticer. putting an fan engine in an srx is in my opinion not that smart of an idea. a pipe from a gpx would work and there dual pipes. make sure the jets are right for it thoe.

I'm puttung this sled together for a 13year old to race.Don't know if I can run twin pipes.One of the kids in the class has a GPX with a 292 single. My son has a 250 enticer and I don't know of anybody that makes gears for this thing.I have lots of SRX part.I was not sure if the enticer and exciter motor were that diffrent but I will make some calls ( was going to put together a deere but someone got the pipe)
