I picked up a 440 ccw motor on the weekend, it has no jugs just heads and the bottom end. A buddy has a JDX8 motor that needs redone but is i real bad shape. Can we use the jugs off of the JDX on a piston port bottom end? I will look tomorrow and see which motor I have. The JDX is a 74 if that helps.

Check the name plates as there were several engines used in the model.

If you are talking about mating a piston port with a JDX reed valve motor - then no, the cylinder design is completely different.
