73 X8 Carb

Post by JDT »

My 73 jdx8 had three carbs in the box...WDA30/31/34.
Which one is the corrct carb or did they come with different ones?

Todd,

The WDA-34 is the correct carburetor for a '73 JDX ser# -20,000. If your luck is like mine it will take all 3 to make one good one. Worn throttle shafts are the demise of most of them. Broken metering plate screws run a close second. If it turns out your WDA-34 can't be salvaged you can upgrade to the WRA-31 for better mileage and performance.

When I took the 34 apart it was a nightmare inside so I will be using a 31.
Previous onwer may have planned to do this as the sled came with all three carbs.
Thanks for the reply.
