We have had spottings here of Black Panthers also, photos have also been taken, nothing has ever become of this also with Conservation either.

Funny part about this is that the school mascott is a black panther. This is a true story, I have seen the pics and the area also.

Here in SC WI, we have had sightings for years. The DNR has finally suggested it might be possible. 2 years ago, we had a bear come across the property, that they can't deny, people have seen them all over.

We have Bears, Moose, Mountain Lion, and Fischer were I am. My mom was actually confronted with a bear. It was watching her form the woods. She just kept walking and called my dad who went down with the 9mm and he almost hit it when it crossed the road.

The other evening I was watching the weather. The local weatherman always shows pictures of seasonal things. The first picture was a pumpkin shaped like a football. The second was of a 230 lb. cougar a southern Illinois man hit with his truck near Garden of the Gods. He was posing with it like a deer. This thing was huge! I liked to died!

I just had to google that one.

If this is the right picture, it was hit in Arizona.

Matt,

That is the photo I saw on TV. If you read the last entry in the blue box of accounts in the attachment you posted they mention James Snipes of Iuka, IL. This is who our local TV affiliate WFIE NBC reported as hitting it.

Looks to me it was a hoax!

That one is big enough that it could have been hit in AZ and IA at the same time.

Sounds similar to the B.S. that the Pa Game Commission has been stating for the past 100years. Won't even go to the sighting areas here in the central part of the state, but, continue to warn against shooting them! How can something they say doesn't exist in this area be protected?

Cougars, Pumas, Panthers or whatever they are known as in various parts of the US are the largest North American cats.

The smaller ones are Bobcats, Lynx and Oscelots.

200 plus would be concidered a very large example. It may have benn raised down wind of a nucelar power plant.

I have found that all you have to do is get said cougar, puma, lynx, panther or whatever to just follow your sled. It won't be long, maybe a half mile before they break down........usually a piston goes :lol22:

Usually that is what makes them so dangerous, all those parts flying off!

I was making no puns about the different names for the tailed critters. It just happens to be what Cat chose to call it's lineup.
There never was a lion but there was a tiger as in turf tiger and el tigre which is spanish for the tiger. Did not know cats were marketed south of the border. :0
