How do I remove a 1979 Spitfire seat? I need to have it recovered. Any tips? Thanks.

The bolts are under the tunnel if you lift up the snow flap. Remove them and lift up the back of the seat and pull it off.

No bolts in the front just two clips. The seat will slide right off after you remove the bolts and lift up the back. If you can get the bolts out. Most of the time they are rusted and don't come out very easy. I always replace the retainer and the bolts with stainless, it makes it much easier to remove in the future.

Thanks, got it off allready. everything was rusted and rotten. The bolts and retainers just ripped through, and then I cut them off to get them out. Any idea how much it might cost to get the seat redone? It will need new wood and a cover. I want to get a quote from a local upholstry shop tomorrow. Thanks again!
