71 Moto Ski Mini Sno

Post by spitty »

Hi guys any of you have any experience with these sleds, where a guy might find some info on them, picked one up this weekend but would like to go over the machine and a manual or some good sites would help. Thanks Spitty

Small JLO like a 146 and a HL carb?
The one I worked on a few years ago had a rubber track but very short.

A friend of keeps talking about an old Moto Ski he had that had a track with plastic segments and was 3/4 the size of a normal sled.

As this is a unique track it may be that the only option was a "fasttrac" replacement.

Are you saying that the plastic track was aftermarket? Something different I guess.

That is a maybe.
There was a company that made a plastic replacement track that was segmented and held together with pins. They were marketed as Fasttracks.
If you had an orphan sled that had no aftermerket tracks available this was an option.
The track had practically no lugs on it so it offered very little traction.
I suppose it was better than no track at all but not by much.

From what I can see of the track it has a short then a long cleat, the longs look like thay are a rubber coated cleat, they also made a Cadet that had a larger engine same chassis I believe, the Mini sno has a jlo 223. If you like I can probaly post a couple pics. Spitty
