Newbies, listen up!
Eric,
Is that the 300 your Dad picked up at a farm auction? And do I see the headlight on, meaning that you got it running? If I've mixed up the story, I appologize, but I "think" I have it right.
Mid-motors and bogies: yea baby!
What size JDX do you have? I have a very nice original 75 JDX-8, but the motor is one. One of these darn days I will put it back together as a rider...

Isn't the whole "help Bob" thing a bit harsh?

Well, the Liquifire and Invader are at least cousins...and do share quite a few parts.72tx340 wrote:Isnt my 81 Invader kinda...sorta.....like...a......liquid fire.....am i in the club yet.......come on guys.......let me in huh!! Its not easy not being green!
Trucker,
Bob is a decient kid, but most of his questions could be answered by reading the technical manual. Many members have suggested he purchase one. So we do tease him a bit. :green:
Matt,
I love the "It ain't easy being Green" slogan!

ALL THE CREDIT FOR MY 300 RUNNING GOES TO JDT!!JoeRainville wrote:Eric,

I have never seen the sled in person!
Todd PM'ed me, offered to pick it up at dads 120+ miles from Milbank, and turns out his grandparents farm had been not three miles from my folks place.
He took it back to SD with him, tore it completely apart, found some cracks that had to be welded, replaced some worn out balljoints, spindle bushings, a broken dashboard, a bent bogie shaft, tore the engine totally down and replaced the crank seals, replaced the fuel gauge and a whole ton of hardware for me. Labor was very resonable and he had 22 hours in it. Then he brought it back to dad's for me Thanksgiving day. All it really needs is a repaint on the tunnel and skis and some polishing and it would be 100%. Dad chipped in a little money on it as he claims he will ride it.
It's in dad's shed along with my '73 Ski Doo Oly waiting for me to come back for Waconia and a few days of riding.
The JDX in that shot is one of Todd's sleds.

How about it ain't easy being Bob!!! I do really appreciate all your help on hear and all the time you guys spend helping me. I consider this a second family of friends that I can trust. I can always look for you guys for help. I know I have made some relationships sour over trying to help me and all but I am sorry for all that. I will be getting a manual don't worry. I have a full copy on the hard drive at home so I have a reference. I do have a fine tune manual though..... Somewhere.jdmatt wrote: slogan: "JDsleds.com: It's not easy being green"
