JDX4 Special

Hello my uncle has a 1974 JDX4 special and he doens't want it anymore and he is giving it too me. The only problem with it he said its not starting. He just replaced the carberator and fuel lines and filter. It has spark but im thinking the fuel lines in the tank r rotted off. Someone give me suggestions.
