Paul wasn't worried about the heat range, his concern was the physical length of the plug.
His '73 X8 requires the short reach plugs.

I didn't realize this was a dead topic when I replied to it..


But I'm pretty sure a 3/4" reach plug isn't going to hit the piston on a 5/8" reach motor..
