80 spitfire

I looked to see what type of engine I have, the only thing I can find is 440/2a????

I took recoil off to replace the cord, any help in replacing???

Engine is a 340 Kawasaki, first year for that motor in the Spitfires. As far as the recoil, search and you should find your answer. Lots of excellent information on here, just gotta do some reading.

from your dec. 16 post you said the cyl. fins are at an angle, sounds like some one did some swapping. post a pic of engine. the guys here are good, they can tell you what you got.
