I have a 88' 377E Ski Doo Safari that does not rev high enough to move. The snowmobile is getting good spark and fuel. I don't know if it is a clutch issue or a gas issue. I cannot get the sled to idle also.
If it is a clutch issue, what is the easiest way to solve the problem?
Thank You

How many RPM's can you get out of it?
Does the primary clutch move when you rev it up?
If you raise the back of the sled off the ground when it is off, can you move the track but turning the seondary clutch by hand?

I just lifted up the back of the sled and the track spun around. The fastest I could get the track to go was about 15 mph, when the engine was pouring out smoke.
I don't quite know the rpms as it does not have a Tach.

I would look at the primary clutch. Sounds like it is not engaging correctly.
It may be stuck arms or siezed splines.
Some of the smoke maybe be from the belt slipping.
