your heads are not torqued down. take off the engine shroud and re torque the heads. you may want to install new head gaskets as well. run the sled and let it cool down. check the head bolt torque again before you install the shroud....

torn the engine down today, the base gaskets and head gaskets were leaking

i got the engine rebuilt and put back in, still has the same bog after warm up, i tried a different carb, coil
im am not sure what to do... thanks

Try lowering the jet needle in the carb one notch. Because..... if it runs progressively worse as it warms up, it's getting too much fuel.

If this helps but doesn't fix you can try a smaller main jet.

How many turns out is your mixture screw?

does the sled still start hard? and im having the same kinda problem with mine rite this second but mine doesnt run bad when its warmed up but now she wont go anywhere lol if i get mine fixed ill let u know what it was i dont know if were having the exact same problems or what.

so i adjusted the air screw, that was out 3 turns and the tech manual says 1.5
is that what you guys are calling the mixture screw?

also i tryed lower the needle clip 1 spot
i also tryed a different fuel pump
took it out for a ride didnt change, came back in the shop and let it sit and idle then i reved to engagement and turned it off, gave it a pull and a backfire, did the same thing about 4 more times
any ideas??

got a different carb on it again, other one was leaking
changed to another coil, nothing changed
i am wondering if its down in the stator, exciter coil? timing?
spark gets weaker after warm up, is that possible??
any help would be great, thanks

I FIXED IT!!! it was the timming

You said it was it the timing was the marks not lined up??
