1974 skidoo tnt 300sm

Post by wervin01 »

I have a 1974 Ski doo in that we ca't get started. The recoil has stripped the
hub out that turns the engine. I am looking for either new or used parts to get
out sled going again.

If you have a broken hacksaw blade and a bit of time you can cut new grooves in the hub. This may get you going untill you find another hub.

Bill,
I talked to Frankie (RiverRat) tonight and he is going to check with a guy tomorrow and see if he can help you out with that part you need.

By the way, welcome to the site. :welcome:

The Splined starter hubs are available from DK and MFS. Also replace the pawls with the new hub. Total cost is less than $25.

Thanks Todd. I'm trying to help Bill get his ole Ski-Doo running again, so I lead him to this site for help. I sold the sled to him last Christmas. I will check into those two places for the parts.

Todd - hope you enjoyed the video as much as I did. I think I've watched it 5 times now.

Thanks for your help,
Scott J.
